just a short(ish) journal to say thank you to those who have added me to their watch or favourited anything recently (meaning, over the past few months). I very much appreciate it even though I can't thank everyone individually.

because I've just got back from my holiday, I've come back to lots of stuff to sort out, in "non-internet" life as well as lots to catch up on here too... I did delete a few things, I can't comment on everything any more. I try to pipe up where I think my input might be welcome and/or of some value

I'm a bit surprised to see my pageviews have shot right up... I thought maybe I'd got a DD no such luck, so I'm a bit baffled as to why they have gone up that much.

I saw lots of interesting things art-wise whilst in Cornwall... if you've never been, it's very much an artistic place... Made for artists, occupied by artists, round every corner! Every town and village along the coast has multiple small art galleries. Quite varied stuff too. I would kill to be able to live down that way.

It has spurred me on a bit to do some more art, get it out there into some local galleries, maybe cafes, somewhere... and start actually selling some stuff. Because if I don't, I'm going to end up cleaning for the rest of my life and why should I do that when if I just work a bit harder (or get a bit luckier, depending on where you stand on the matter of how artistic success is achieved) I could be selling work for thousands like Hilary Mayes? (okay, I can dream lol!! Besides she is a much more capable artist than me. I saw her work in person in a gallery in Falmouth, and seeing the jpegs on a web page just does not compare... her paintings are literally stunning.)
Plus if I don't start earning some more cash soon, I'm going to find myself in a very dire situation. The holiday was meant to be a break from the drudgery and worries of everyday life, but you can't escape that sort of thing... you only have to go back to it when the week is up.
